Next November 3rd, a new date has been set for VS-FILM for short films in Sokhna and Galala. The VS-FILM management has set the date for very short films for the period from November 3rd to 7th, 2024, to reach it between the cities of Suez, Ain Sokhna and Galala.
The celebration comes to celebrate the 51st National Day of the valiant Suez Governorate and is honorarily chaired by the great artist Elham Shaheen.
Dr. Osama Abu Nar, the festival president, confirmed that this year’s session includes many film screenings, workshops, seminars and master classes for senior cinema professionals from Egypt and cooperation in the world, and its activities are integrated and talked about to include the cities of Suez Governorate throughout the year.
Young children will dedicate some of these activities from filmmaking workshops and film screenings to competitions for students of Galala University to spread the culture of making and watching very short films among young university students.
Mr. Ziad Bamir, the vice president of the party, stated that it will host a competition for films that do not exceed 5 minutes and another for films that do not exceed 10 minutes for anime, and that the jury will be headed by a personal cinematographer for the festivals for the occasions in obtaining her approval for the participation ceremony with the idea of the festival and the goal for which we launched it. He said: The festival started its activities early through an essay competition or a good study of very short films that we cooperated with the Academy of Emerging Arts and its awards will be distributed in a huge celebration to be held on October 15th at Tharwat Okasha Clock at the Academy’s headquarters in Haram. We hope that the VS-FILM Film Festival will be sponsored by the Ministry of Culture, Suez Governorate, the Academy of Arts, Al-Jalala University, the Syndicate of Cinematographers, and the General Union of Arab Artists. It will be organized by the Dhi Foundation for Culture and Arts in cooperation with Golden Hills Company to participate in quick subscriptions for very short films that do not exceed 5 minutes and another for films that do not exceed 10 minutes. It will hold a series of workshops on making very short films from the idea to the screen.
