The great artist, Sawsan Badr, decorates the list of honorees at the VS-FILM Festival for Very Short Films
The VS-Film Festival for Very Short Films will honor the great artist, Sawsan Badr, at its opening ceremony next Sunday in Ain Sokhna, in appreciation of her rich cinematic career and her continuous support for short films and projects of students at film institutes and academies.
Sawsan Badr expressed her happiness at being honored by a festival specialized in very short films, a type of film that has taken up a large space in views across electronic platforms and social media platforms.
She said: She is keen to participate in the graduation projects of students of the Cinema Institute as a kind of support and because she believes that rising talents need someone to take them by the hand at the beginning of their career. She mentioned that she is proud of the short films in which she participated, all of which were with real talents.
For his part, Dr. Osama Abu Nar, the festival president, stressed the importance of honoring the great artist, Sawsan Badr, and said: The festival is proud to honor a great artistic figure and value who has given a lot to art, especially in the field of short films and student graduation projects. He mentioned that the festival will hold a symposium on the second morning of the great artist, Sawsan Badr, who was keen to attend despite her travel commitments to participate in the judging of the Bahrain International Film Festival. Mr. Ziad Basmir, the festival’s vice president, said: The festival honors those with great artistic contributions, most notably the great artist, Sawsan Badr, who has contributed to student graduation projects. Despite her stardom that she achieved through her theatrical, television and cinematic career, she did not skimp on participating in their projects and gave them artistic weight while they were at the beginning of their career.
